How You Can Help
Online Giving
Many parishioners have asked if we could accept credit cards, wishing to enjoy the benefits of spending rewards that are offered by the credit companies. We now can offer you the option of giving online via a secure website. Gifts can be debited from your checking account, savings account brokerage account, or credit card. You may use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Debit card. You can designate your Easter and Christmas contributions here too.

Bequests
By including a charitable bequest in your will or revocable trust, you can support the good work of the Lord through St. Martha Church after you have gone to meet our Savior. This gift can benefit the Church’s most urgent needs, your favorite Ministry, or the Angels Catholic schooling scholarship program.

Gifts of Stock
If you hold appreciated stock (held at least one year) and are deciding whether to sell it or donate it, consider that the donation will enable you to:
1. Support the worthy programs and ministries of St. Martha Church
2. Take a charitable deduction for the full fair market value rather than the original cost of the asset
3. Avoid the capital gains tax

IRA Rollover
If you are aged 70 ½ or older, you can donate your required IRA distribution to St. Martha Church or School without having to count the allocation in your taxable income.
The transfer for each calendar year must be made by December 31st directly from your financial institution, with a maximum charitable distribution of $100,000 per donor, per year. This benefit pertains to both traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs.
Please talk to your IRA trustee/administrator to facilitate a direct charitable gift rollover. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support the worthy charitable activities of St. Martha Church or to foster Catholic education through St. Martha School.
