Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist in the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament during Mass, to patients at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, to nursing homes and other locations within the parish boundaries. All Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist must be practicing Catholics, be at least 18 years of age, have received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, and possess all the requisite abilities and temperament to carry our their assigned duties. They will receive spiritual, theological, and practical preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence.
